my son rubs his head near his temples cause his teeth hurt...he likes the way it feels when i play with his hair so he plays with his own sometimes...its normal...if your worried..call your doc.. thats always the best

She might just like how soft her hair feels. Even if she's a "baldy", there is some very fine, soft hair there. My daughter used to to that too. Then she would sometimes get a hold of her own hair and pull it until she cried. I was so glad when she finally learned to let go! My son used to love having his head rubbed. He'd get the same look on his face that a cat gets when you scratch that spot behind the ears. See if she likes it when you rub her head too. It's a great way to soothe her to sleep on those fussy nights.

It might be nothing. But keep an eye on your baby to make sure he/she isn't getting an ear infection or something like that. My son would rub his head when he got ear infections as an very young baby.

My baby does that too.. he was born 7/14.. he is constantly throwing his little hands up there rubbing is head, as i am feeding or holding him. Since he doesnt have really good control of his hands yet, he is pretty rough with himself... anyway, i think it is because it feels good. Calming.

Just might be something she/he like doing. My baby likes rubbing his head when he is sleepy.

My little girl is a head patter... she's done it since a few mths old and she still does it at almost a year! I couldnt even hazard a guess as to why...

I would say she is tired. babies do all sorts of diffrent things when they are tired. My son pulled his ears, pulled his hair, rubbed his eyes when he was getting sleepy.
