Football is really bad for folks who only have bunny ears instead of cable with 5,000,000 other channels to watch. Unfortunately, unless PBS is playing something great, there's nothing to watch. I guess it's a blessing in disguise and I've started painting more as a result. I tried watching baseball the other day and ended up spacing out... staring at the TV but not paying attention to anything going on (no, I wasn't on drugs).
Down with sports

guess you've only seen the NFL (American) football, when there's 2 minutes left and players are leaving the field. In the CFL,(Canadien), even 1 min, 30 sec, can be an eternity. Aside from that, in the CFL, the players play for the love of the game. Most have side jobs, like reastaurants, shoe stores, firefighting, etc.Even the ref's have to ask for time off from their regular jobs. Bottem line, they play it for $$$$ in the NFL, and only $ in the CFL, but the CFL is a better game

I don't follow sports. Not football nor any of the others. Never thought of it that way before, but your question just made me realize that possibly this is good for my health. I mean I'm not sick of it like some people are. Right?
Hmm. I wonder if this might quality me for a discounted rate on my health insurance.
Thanks man. This is a really great question.
PS: When I'm through arguing with my health insurance people, they're gonna hate you for this.

i think professional sports is annoying for the simple fact of the money their paid to PLAY A GAME. i can see making a little more than the average person because they put their physical safety in danger when they work but not millions. the revenue that is made from these games should be put into the city they represent instead of in the players pockets.

It is a sport don't get your panties in a bundle there Jack. haha. It is just like the football europeans call they go nuts over that. I like football its fun to watch and fight with your buddies over. Has nothing to do with intelligence its a damn game come on now. What do you want them to do.. Sit in the middle of the field and tell you how fast the ball went per feet? Sheesh some people.

As far as the NFL goes, it's looking pretty dismal. It's like nobody's even trying anymore to make it to the Super Bowl, except some teams who aren't above cheating.

I know! I am with you on that one! Someone was watching the game yesterday (don't ask me who was playing, because I don't know and could care less) and I just about fell asleep! Boring!
