No, for several reasons.

For one, marriage is a religious issue, NOT a government issue. Moral and religious issues should be discussed with your Church or judged according to your own moral fibers. The goverment should not be given so much control as to decide how many husbands or wives a person could have.

Secondly, although many people's religious beliefs are different, general population in the United States is Christian of some demonination or another. In that case, there are several examples in the Bible and throughout history which supports only molygamy. Jesus instituted marriage between one man and one woman. God the Father created Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Eve, Juliet, Suzane.

Thirdly, it would be very difficult for most people to not only share their spouse, but get along well enough with their other partners or your other partners.

I would also think that family life and child-rearing would be quite unstable and confusing for the all the Children. Different parents and "step-parents" may have different views on how to raise a child, different religious, moral, political, ect, views on everything! They would eventually conflict with one another.

I think it would produce alot more problems than it'd be worth.

If it was legal, there would be no reason to vote on it. I would never vote to legalize polygamy.

I would vote no. I don't like the idea of sharing my husband. Why would I have bothered getting married if I was going to let himsleep with someone else?

I will vote yes. I want to be able to try every flavor and have kids of many different races. I want to be in the guiness book of world records for the most women slept with that bear my child and also i want to start the largest generation under my last name from one guy and many wives. if animals can have multiple partners why can't we.

Definatly not, Polygamy should definatly be illegal! I believe it is wrong and messed up! Somebody PLEASE think of the children involved. I have never seen one emotionally normal kid living in one of those collonies. Not only that but BIRTH DEFECTS..people are messed up.
