The war gene ?

They lead from the back ?

If there is a propensity to war by way of genetics, we do not eliminate this gene by sending soldiers to war instead of those who desire it.

We are a democracy...we elect representatives to govern, and sometimes 'they' decide to go to war...LET THEM LEAD.

We loose one leader, we can elect another, or at least the runner up.

In the last American election there was a 50% split in popular vote, so we know who will be the second leader...we don't know if he or she will want to continue the war leading from the front ?

Is this preaching, or just rambling?

I would say that instead of a "gene", it is the war "profit" that sends us to war.

You mean to ask whether politicians fight better and soldiers govern?

War for the US is just another means to boost economy and garner extraneous economic advantage that can't be had by trading, commerce or politicking. It is a grand plan to subdue the Muslim world which has a disproportionate control over Oil Reserves. Soldiers are laying down their lives and undertaking other sacrifices for US to remain rich and continue to get richer. The only question that needs another look is whether their pay for the purpose is right!!

PS : Stephen's forecast is naive - there won't be any US soldier sent to NK - that's for sure. US soldiers don't come cheap, it costs money and money alone can pay back for their lives!!

In anceint times a good king should be the first to ride in to battle and the last one to leave the feild. But if the king falls, the kingdom go's with him. The U.S does not go to war to gain profit. They go to war to protect and defend people who cant do it them selves or in north koreas case (i beleive the current conflict will result in war) to preotect them selvs from an alain threat.
