Go to your OB or ER to get a check-up. That's what happened to me with my 2nd baby, and after first seeing it, I had him within 2 days. Congrats!

With my first baby my daughter I lost my plug on my exact due date. Pinkish then with red threads through white cloudy mucus. I lost my plug at noon, my contractions started at 6 pm some time, and I had her at 02:16 am. So the plug is a great sign. I hope for the best for you and that you have a straight forward easy labor. Take Care... Oh I walked during contractions and it speed-ed up MY Labor. I was a natural delivery also. Be strong.

Yes you are in early labor and even if you weren't you need to call the doctor since you're losing your mucus plug. There is no way to tell how long a delivery will take...my first baby was born in four hours of easy labor...my second was born in nine and a half hours of hard labor.

I'm going to break your heart here. I lost my mucus plug an entire week before I had my daughter. It's different for everyone and if it's your first it's going to be longer. I was having intermediate contractions 2 days before I gave birth and didn't deliver until around 24 hours after I went into "early labor". I would suggest if it's your first delaying going to the hospital until you HAVE to. I went the night I started having serious contractions and they sent me home with an ambien and instructions to come back when I woke back up. However it never hurts to contact your doctor if you're worried. That's what they're there for. Good Luck

Congratulaions! It sounds like the early stages of labor! How exciting! Keep timing your contractions, when they start getting closer ( my doctor always said 5 min) call your doctor.
Good Luck!

"Losing your mucus plug does not necessarily mean you are in labor. This can occur up to two weeks before labor begins. This can also occur right as labor is beginning. You will have to wait and see if you have any other signs of labor. Such as your water breaks or you begin to have contractions."

I lost my plug at 28 weeks. I unfortunately had my son at 35 weeks. Just becuase you lose you plug really doesnt mean much. You need to concentrate on the pains you are describing.

Call your doctor if you are not sure. It is still probably a little early into the labor if you really are but it is definitely getting there!!! Congrats

you are in early labor but the baby could still take his/her time. you should probably call your ob and see what they do at this point, they may tell you to come in or go to bed and sleep while you can
