Malaysia has all along adopted an anti-Jewish stance. Some of its citizens are hardcore and voracious Jewish haters. Logic would dictate you not to visit there if you are a Jewish as your personal security is compromise.
But by and large Malaysia is a pretty safe place to go except for that on and off anti-Jewish rhetorics.Since you're not an Israeli its quite safe to say you're certainly warmly welcome by the locals there as they are of one of the most easiet going and cordial races in the whole world.

Eventhough Malaysia is an Islamic -controlled government, there is no need to worry as I never heard any cases by Malaysians to bash others background, culture and religion. Moreover, Malaysia is liberal, safe, less crime and standard of living and their attitude are great. Plus there are so much things to do in Malaysia like beaches, shopping, clubbing and snorkling. Majority dont say hello/thank you but when you start to talk/know them, they could be the nicest as they could be. Even Simgaporeas go to Malaysia for th weekends.
If you are Jewish you are welcome as a tourist as long as you are not an Israeli passport holder.

Yes, it is safe to visit Malaysia if you are Jewish. But if you want to stay on the safe side, do not talk about your religion. Only Israelis are not allowed to visit Malaysia. If you want, I could be your friend and make sure they do not discriminate you if that is about to happen.

Yes it is safe. Why not? As long as you don't go around insulting the local culture or waving a banner saying "I'm a Jew, do you have a problem with that?" Well, if you do this, well, it's another story.
Even Israelis are quite safe in Malaysia because they are not allowed to enter the country. So, trouble avoided. Go figure.

The Malaysian government allows Malaysians to visit ISRAEL and hundreds have done so and continue to go to the Holy Land. There are "JEWISH" businesses in Malaysia although the people here do not know it. Hallo Marks& Spencers; Lever Brothers; P H Hendry Jewellers and others.
IF you don't sport hairlocks and robes like the orthodox i doubt anyone asian will know your jewishness. But do contact Malaysian embassy - they don't need to know your religious beliefs. Good luck!!

i am a Malaysian! we Malaysians are not allowed to go to Israel. so, i think any Israelite aren't allowed to enter Malaysia. for Malaysia doesn't approved Israel as a country.
if you are a citizen of another country, you are welcome to visit Malaysia anytime. being a Jewish, doesn't mean a threat for us Malaysians. to make sure of your safety, you should refer to the Malaysian embassy in your country.
Malaysians are tolerant in terms of cultural, religion and racial difference. have a nice and safe visit to Malaysia!
BTW, you should visit Malaysia nexty year around August. 2007 is visit Malaysia year plus we are celebrating our 50th independent year!

It is a safe place to visit because they do practice freedom of religion to some extent.
I don't think they would give you much problem here. Malaysians are generally friendly.

Despite the vast majority of Malaysians never having met a Jew in their lives, Malaysia (and Indonesia) is today a very hostile anti-Semitic place
This is largely due to anti-Semitic propaganda rampant in their media and hatred of Jews preached in mosques.
Ironic thing is that these countries advertise their "diversity".
You need to read the fine print to see that this doesn't apply to Jews. And in Indonesia especially, not to Chinese.
Go to Thailand! The most beautiful and genuinely welcoming and friendly country in the region. Singapore is a wonderful place, too.
