Yes, different shades of light, make you look different. Sunlight or daylight is the only natural light. Some companies make light bulbs that claim to be true light. They are a bit more expensive than regular light bulbs, but they seem to work pretty good. I just open the blinds to get better light when looking in the mirror or doing makeup.

you only look as good as you feel, regardless of the lighting... but florescent lighting is terrible FYI
