The question is too hypothetical for me. Can you give a specific example where you think "ignorance is bliss"?

I'd think hard about it, but if I really thought it would be in her best interest not to tell her, I wouldn't tell her. Depends on the secret. I would tell her if I knew her man was cheating on her because even though it might hurt, it would be in her best interest.

Yes, why would you want to hurt them? The world is full of hurt. Some secrets are best kept that way.

No if it was going to really hurt them but on the other hand if it is something that they really need to know you should tell because if they find out from somewhere else and them later find out that you knew and didnt tell them you can lose them as a friend all together. So it might be in your best intrest to just tell them

yes, would you rather see your friend get hurt when you know that they would have never found out!!!Honesty is the key when it comes to friendship but then again you have to consider their feelings and interest.

Depends. If its about love, don't touch it. If its life or death, or will hurt someone physically, maybe even causing trauma, definetely tell them.

i surely would....and i surely am doing that now.....one of my friends, her now ex boyfriend as of last week showed me his penis on webcam when they were together and i NEVER bothered to tell her.....i will....ONE DAY....shes so in love with him, if i told her now, it would just break her little heart.
