The more diversity the better.
I remember the "old days" of the 70's and 80's when they had 9 different brands racing. You had Buick's, Pontiac's, Chevy's, Oldsmobile's, Ford's, Mercury's, Dodge's, Plymouth's, and AMC's.

It was just a matter of time for this to happen. The US companies are not putting out the money to develope racing machines(Poniac,Buick,Olds,Mercury ect...)So Toyota steps in and bankrolls several teams that were having sponsorship problems and they become the main teams for Toyota.
Every other team that has vehicles raceing(Ford,Chevy,Dodge) the engine program is open to independents, but NASCAR has allowed Toyota to have a system that an independent can not have a Toyota engine. They have to be part of team Toyota.
Over all it is a good thing to have another brand in racing, but with the consetions that they were given it is bad.

It's good for Toyota and will help them sell cars. It's good for NASCAR because it shows more diversity. But, I don't think it's going to matter for the fans. With the "Car of Tomorrow" starting next year, all the cars will basically be the same (like the IROC series). The only difference between cars will be the subtle differences on the body of the cars. Mainly the nose. Hopefully, the COT will produce more passing and kill the dreaded "aero push".

The 'more the merrier'. Yes a Cadillac would be nice. Mercury all you need is a grille, head and tail light change. I thought the new Pontiac's looked nice, too bad they only lasted one season. The current Charger is a 'slap in the face' to all MOPAR fans, it is soo U-G-L-Y ! The Chrysler 300 C would look so much better.

i hate it,i wish they wouldn't come into NEXTEL CUp because it is a american sport and it doesn't need foreign things in it,and i also hate all these stupid F1 drivers coming to NASCAR too like Juan Pablo Montoya,AJ Allmendinger,Sam Hornish(he's IRL but still open wheel)they all will fail miserbly at NASCAR!
