I haven't seen anywhere what his WS roster would look like. Sean Casey will probably be ready for Game 1, but nothing is definite yet. Also, should "iffy" Perez be on the roster (I hope not).

I havent heard a thing, and was hoping someone knew.

The only thing worse than someone sitting at the computer all day in Yahoo answers.. is someone who also spends alot of time in Yahoo answers and criticizes someone else for doing it as well, and then gets a cheap point or two by answering the question even thos they never answered the question.. The answer is.. Leyland won't make the decision until Friday when the World Series rosters are due..

From everything I've read in the Detroit papers, it sounds like Leyland's final roster decision will come down to Shelton and Neifi.

Of the two, Shelton makes more sense because of Casey's injury. Better to keep a backup who can play first rather than another middle IF, when you've already got Infante and Santiago.

As for the guy criticizing the asker of this question for spending so much time here - you're an idiot.

The Tigers are doing fine without him, so why mess with a good thing? Shelton had a hot bat at the beginning of the year, but we've seen mediocre players like that before. That's their 15 minutes, and his is up. To be fair, Shelton did make the difference in a few key games this year, and the Tigers may not have made the playoffs without him.

I don't think Shelton will be playing in the WS. I would like to see him play but he didn't do much in the hitting department the last half of the year. If he could get the hitting machine fired-up again like he did the first half of the year there would be no question... he would be in the line-up. I think he is an outstanding player. Leyland is a crafty man, you never know, he may change things up.

Leyland said to "write it down, Guillen will play first, Pudge will be catcher."

The real question is not about Chris (Who?) Shelton, but about a different player, on a different team. A player who will actually matter, one who is clutch. One who is a big game player.

Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez, has stated he will be ready to pitch in the World Series. He threw off the mound in a simulated game, and had no pain. Nothing like a knuckling curve ball for all those poor Tiger fans who will now have so much to think about before Saturday's first pitch.

I haven't heard either. Shelton has to be a better choice than Perez! I read it is supposed to rain Saturday and Sunday. Hope not!

I would like to see him replace Iffy with Shelton. I'm not sure if he will though. For some reason he loves Iffy.
