People express feelings in different ways. Some people express them with words. Other's with actions. It depends on the context. Sometimes, it is expressed just through physical actions or through writing a scenerio. Usually though, people wont go out on a limb and if you do want to know someone's feelings, you may have to like tell them first and risk it.

The best way to get honesty is to give it. If you want someone to express their true feelings, do the same for them. Maybe this person is also wondering the same thing you are? No one will know until someone takes the initiative and opens up first. Best of luck!
