Every perfume lover's had an affair with Nina Ricci. Whether it's the romance of L'Air du Temps or the heady Love in Paris, there's nothing quite like a Ricci scent when you want to take a barefoot walk on a moonlit beach. Now there's one more to the family. Nina, the French brand's newest contribution to romance, is like an invitation to a fairytale.

Brand Director Margerie Barbes Petit shares her what's-hot list on the eve of Nina's launch.

* Precious colours like gold and silver are very big, both in fashion and cosmetics.

* White is an important colour this season and red is also very strong, in design, decor and fashion. But black is always beautiful.

* Bright colours are hot, but not like they were in the '70s when everything vied for attention. Today, one colour is dominant and is balanced with touches of white, silver and gold.

* Minimalism is over and that's great for us, because we can re-express the fantasy of the brand with out trademark hearts, flowers, bows, apples and doves.

* Make-up is glamorous. It's not the extravagant glam of the '80s, but a more sophisticated look. The no make-up look has made way for a natural face with touches of movie star drama.
