Sperm lives for a few days so having sex on that day would be a good time if you are trying to have a child. You dont actually conceive until you ovulate though, so you wouldn't get pregnant the day before you ovulated, but having sex that day could result in a pregnancy. I got pregnant with my daughter by having sex 4 days before I ovulated.

That would be the day you would want to have sex in order to get pregnant because the egg you ovulate usually dies within 24 hours and it takes awhile for the sperm to make its way up through the uterus and into the fallopian tube. The egg is fertilized inside the fallopian tube and then makes its way to the uterus for implantation. Sperm can live inside a woman for up to 5 days if the conditions are ideal, but you must have fertile cervical fluid for it to pass from the vagina into the uterus. Fertile cervical fluid is the constancy of egg white and is usually clear or clear with a bit of white streaking. You can stretch it between 2 fingers. Hope this helps!

well being you can't become pregnant WITHOUT ovulation I think you worded your question wrong.
Sperm can stay inside the vagina for up to 48 hours. I believe in some rare cases longer. Once the egg comes through the tubes it is ready for fertilization.

I would think a pretty good chance. Especially since sperm can live inside a woman for a few days. And live until the egg is released.
