He'll just listen to the heartbeat, check your blood pressure and have you give a urine sample to make sure you dont have a UTI.

If this is your first visit, they'll talk about what to expect. If you are not up to date on your pap, they will usually perform one and test for std's. Check the position of your uterus and try to hear the heartbeat, but it's usually not possible this early. They will take a urine sample, check your blood pressure, weight, temperature, and probably order blood work. They will want to test your HCG levels etc. also they might test for HIV as required in some states. They might also order an ultrasound to date the pregnancy if you are not sure of the date of your LMP or your uterus seems smaller than it should be.

Every time I went in fir my check they do it all. Its almost like your annual visit to the womens doctor. But They know a lot from the way your uterus feels and where the babys at. Sometimes they do a diabetes test and make you drink a flavored water thing, its not to bad. But you can expect to pee in a cup and take off your pants every time. But you should be able to hear the heart beat every time and thats the best part if you are like me it will bring a tear to your eye. Good luck.
