dont use bar soap, its too harsh on your face..try liquid soap. not ones with too much fragrance. your best bet is a all natural liquid hand and face soap from whole foods or something.....and dont rub your face with the towel, pat dry..

Have you tried steaming?
Place your head over a bowl of boiling water and then put a towl over both to trap most of the steam - like a little tent. Hold it there for about 2 minutes.
This will open your pores up. Then use a clean face cloth to wipe your face clean (maybe with a little soap (BTW. Dishwashing liquid is skin friendly, and will cut through grease on your skin! no joke!)). Make sure the face cloth is hot, but not boiling - you don't want to burn
I use a face scrub made by nivea for sensitive skin. It works wonders and won't leave you with a rash.

First buy some very mild liquid or bar soap from a health food store - they have super mild types with special conditioners which benefit the skin & clean it without damage.
Then use a cotton terry cloth wet with WARM water - lather up your face real good, then wash soap off with warm cloth, gently.
rinse off further - then spray face with witch hazel after all is done to tighten the pores & condition the skin. do nothing more than this. You will be OK, I promise.

What is so wrong with using products?? Try looking at facial clensers as "soap" as opposed to "products". I am a big fan of Cetaphil. It is a little expensive, but it gets the job done. Also, it isnt all pink and girly. It is blue and white, so you can still feel manly. Though, as a woman I do not have any problem with a man using facial clensers. I would rather see a man using a big pink mud mask and exfoliator than having a pizza face.

Well, gotta agree with others, it will be hard to cleanse your skin without a 'product.' So without mentioning any brand names, maybe try a mildly abrasive gritty cleanser, moisten, rub gently, rinse well, pat dry.
If you want to stay away from 'soaps,' try hydrogen peroxide. It's inexpensive, sanitizes anything, and as a bonus, can double as a mouth wash. Seriously. So, moisten your face with warm water, splash-bathe your face with h/p, rinse off with warm water, rinse again with cold. Pat dry.
It's the only thing I can think of that is not a 'soap,' but cleanses.
Also, is it possible you might be causing some irritation with towel friction when you dry?

You say no products but you need more than water. Have you tried a hypo allergenic cleansing cloth like ponds or oil of olay? Or even mild baby wipes. Another suggestion would be to do a search for home remedies something you could mix up yourself. Hope maybe this helps.

Hi, sorry but there is no way you can wash yourself clean with just plain water when your face is oily.
I suggest you go to a pharmacy and get yourself the mildest soap for the kind of skin that you have. I suggest Oilatum, it really worked wonders on my sister's face.

Yeah! It's totally fine. Better to look good then smell. Yeah friend may be like that, but when it comes to girls, he'll be left in the dust. Acne is horrible stuff, so why not care about it? Makes sense to take care of your skin now then to have skin canser when your older.

dude, there is no way to clean your face with just water. I reccomend CLEARASIL for men daily face scrub. It's your only hope. Also, Nivea makes a good one (1 exfoliant, 1 face wash, sold seperately) scent free too if you have senisitive skin.
