Yeah, that's very hard. But you and your team have a lot to be proud of. Only one other team in the state would not want to trade places with you.

In the long run, you can use the disappointment as incentive to work hard preparing for next season. Hopefully your team will get there again!!!! :)

You have another year of eligibility? Get your team around you now...tell them all to keep the pain of this loss fresh, and get to work. Don't wait on the coaches. Hit the weights, keep running, stay focused, determined, and mad. Use almost getting there as your sole motivation for the next season. The better in shape you are, the more your coaches can do with you next season.

But don't focus on the loss. Focus on what it feels like to get so close and not make it, and tell yourself you will not feel like that next year. Every morning, every person on your team needs to wake up saying, we are the 2007 state champions. It's our trophy. It's ours to lose. And nobody is going to outwork us, starting today.

I played ball in High School, I understand what this game does to you. Stay focused, and stay positive.

"Don't stop thinking about tomorrow," as the song says.
Don't re-live the game you lost. Put it behind you. Tell yourself you left it all on the field, so no regrets.
Take a couple of weeks off from even thinking about football. See movies, hang out with friends, sleep in on the weekends.
There will be better times, better games, joy and victory ahead.

Why do ya need complete strangers to make ya feel better? It sucks to lose, everyone knows that, but someone has to.Look back on your just finished season and think to yourself how can do i do better?Fix what is wrong and use the lost championship as motivation.

Suck it up dude, you're asking the internet to build you back up??? How sad is that!!!

Where is your family and why aren't you going to them for support??? If your family will not support you in sad times I would rewrite the question and ask the internet world where you can find a cheap shrink to take you through this trauma (family trauma, not football you moron)

Jeeesh, people amaze me.
