Oh, most definitely! Make it a cute one, or with a bit of a surprise inside it (movie tix, Ipod card, etc.)

I did something like that for my then boyfriend (now husband). He thought it was very cool after he picked me up from work. He said it made him feel good to know that I was thinking of him when I was at work surrounded by other men.

YES!!!!! GO FOR IT!! I did that . cool. but make it REALLY casual not like girly or lovey. just a card either his favorite colour of a silly picture and maybe a keychain to go with

I say go for it you have nothing to lose and perhaps in making the card he might tealise that you like him and what more things to happen between you to. go for the risk

You definately should. Try to do it as a friend though. You definately wouldn't want him to think that you're desperate or something. If you have extra $$, try to throw in a small gift. He should be touched by that.
