how do i put together an awesome vampire costume?

Sexy outfit(preferably goth sexy)
Long wig(provided you don't have long hair)
Maybe a long coat
Fangs(naturally)
Light makeup to make your skin look paler but not white.

Most people associate vampires with someone in a long black cape that is lined with red velvet or silk and a Victorian outfit. You could do that or go for something unique and dress in modern clothes of your choice (something Gothic looking like you'd find at Hot Topic perhaps?). Wear fangs and have fake blood on your chin.

Well You can do the gothic thing for the vampire look or you cna do anne riceish vampire. Like pandora something dated that makes you stnad out like maybe egyptian or victorian with fangs pale make up bright reds lips

Perhaps go to Hot Topic or some gothic store and wear all black or black and red goth type stuff and wear dark lipstick, smoky eyes...or go to a Goodwill and look for some renaissance style clothes-they always go well with the vampire look.

claw like, decent quality glue-on nails painted black.
Cranberry lipstick.
Pale skin paint, perhaps.
A cape - i made on with heavy black, matte material with a sheer, red moon and star lining on the inside with a dark red ribbon tie around the neck/chest.
Tightfitting black pants and shirt.
Nonpermanent black dye for hair with washable red streaks.
Shoes - i have no idea.
Oh... don't forget the fangs. I had these fangs - just the i-teeth -- came with melting wax to mold to your own teeth. Pretty cool.

wear a sexy black dress with a long cape and thigh high boots. get the vampire teeth and maybe create a trickle of blood going down the corner of your mouth with fake blood. get an updo hairstyle and wear bright red nail polish and lipstick and lots of mascara.

yo could use wax for the teeth i used it a few years ago, and it worked well for a couple of hours, but i don't remember the brand sorry, not sure if they make it any more. i bought it at a Halloween store.

Well the Victorian Vamp is sooo 5 Min ago!
Why don't you mix it up! Go for dominatrix Vamp or a flirty Japanese girl vamp or even a fairy vamp. Since Vamps are supposed to be controlling (..mind control) and sexy.
Vamp Costume #1 (Dominatrix Vamp)
Hair: Really high stright long haired pony tail.
Makeup: Cat-eyes, bright red lipstrick, contour your cheekbones. Make yourself look fierce!!!
Clothes: BLACK CATSUIT or leather corset with mini skirt or shorts.
Shoes: Black leather Thigh High Boots.
EXTRAS: whip, fishnet stockings, spiky dog collar, and long red or black nails.
Vamp Costume #2 (Japanese Girl)
(Pick favorite colors and pick good contrasting colors and mix and don't match!)
Hair: lots of neon hair extensions, kids hair clips (like those really flashy butterfly clips)...oh year make sure you have black hair.
Make up: colorful False eyelashes. Flashy eye shadow and lipstick (like blue or purple)
Clothes: Here are some choices....colorful mini.. boustie
Extras: a little stuffed animal looking backpack purse.. ur ipod...
Costume #3 (Fairy Vamp)
Hair: Wavy hair..if you got dark hair then white highlight and if you got light hair then choose dark lowlights
Makeup: black glitter around the eye area. Black lipstick or like really dark red. black glittery false eyelashes.
Clothes: black tattered clothin= mini, black fishnet, stilletos or boots, corsets... u know.
Shoes: barefoot or laced up high heels (ballerina style)
Extras: bling bling, fairy wings, fake spider web (be creative!)
Every costume should have pale skin (since vamps are dead), blood [duh], and fangs.
