That would be awesome! Think of all the time and money we could save not having to mess with this whole voting thing.

Then the point of debating would be gone. People can only protect themselves so much until they realize that other problems exist outside of their realm of understanding. The reflection of real life by voting is a negative feedback mechanism to prevent the leaders from being too idealistic in their ways.

That sounds something like a cross between ONE WORLD GOVT or a dictatorship. I dont think (hope actually) that it would never be allowed to take root. I hope that americans would find thier way and come out of this comatose state we're in and demand truth and accountibility from our leaders. Actually we need to make room for more than just two parties.

the 1 party Republican system is the only one that's failed

LOL I think some Republicans might actually like that. You'd have your choice of the full range of candidates to choose from in the Primary (only) elections.

Right Wing, Far Right, and Reactionary Extreme Right.

And they'd be suspicious of those people who were merely Right Wing.

No ways. That wouldn't be right. A 1-party state? You know who else was a 1-party state?

Nazi Germany
Communist countries

You want the USA to end up like those places?

I already don't bother "with this whole voting thing," because I believe that the Supreme Court is so corrupt that it doesn't matter who we vote for any way. Just think of the SC's decision in Bush v. Gore. If the Court won't allow our votes to be counted then why should any of us bother?

No stop it from being a winner takes all unless they win by over 60%. Then make every item they vote for in office be valued on its own merrit. Make politicians accountable!

Think of the fact that we would not be a Democratic Republic, we would be a Monarchy or a Communist society...
