I just went thru this exercise myself.
Here are some names I liked (I don't go for the descriptive names):
Zoey
Callie (for calico)
Winnie (I love Pooh!)
Jessie
Sydney
Simba (Lion king ref)
Jazz (for the cool cat)
Tikka
Gemma (your new little gem)
That's all I can remember... but there are many cat naming websites you may want to look up. Good luck with your new little friend. She will have YOU trained very shortly!

I read somewhere names ending in an "e" sound were especially good for cats. Somehow we did that with the last two added to the family - Ollie and Inky.
So, hm...Mimi? Melody? Linley? Sweetie? Boy, these are out there, aren't they? You may need to have her hang out for a bit before you're really sure.

Ginger,Sammy,or Missy.Good luck!!! It is wonderful that you are adopting a cat!! I adopted a dog last week.He is absolutely a joy to have.Sadly enough,we adopted him from the pound. He is a beautiful dog, house broke, and a very friendly dog.Who would want to get rid of him i do not know, but we got him now and he is safe!

Adopted, huh? A fitting name would be "Blessed" or "Niee" pronounced- ni E. Old Indian term for rescued/saved
