you need to excercise all the muscles that were stretched during pregnancy & if you want too late it's a really uphill task and the risk of injury isn't insignificant.

keeping fit makes your pregnancy easier, relaxes you, the hormones generated are also good for the baby's development, and will affect things like the baby's decision making skills & what kind of sports the kid will be better at when they're grown up... (there was a whole bbc programme on things like that dedicated to it where the scientist that discovered this could tell so many things from how long one's fingers were in relation to another & what place each of a group of 8 athletes who'd never raced together before would come & he got it all right bar 1.

besides all that keeping fit saves you a lot of trouble later on in life, so if you can, do.

It is not necessary for u to exercise during pregnancy but it helps in the long run. If u exercise during pregnancy it is said to be easier on you during labor..not sure if it is true..I know that it does help your abdomen and stomach muscles*light exercising only* After u have the baby ur skin is well stretched out and exercising lessens your chance of having some loose skin. Exercising during pregnancy will also keep your shape during and after pregnancy. Good Luck!

if u choose not to do any exercise during pregnancy u will gain a few extra pounds and be more tired than usual ... you might not have enough energy to push the baby out..it helps to work out some but u aint gotta exercise 24/7...just 2 0r 3 times a week is ok!

It's good to exercise! Even if it is just a 20 minute walk 3 times a week. It will help you avoid gaining unnecessary pounds. It will also help in the early months when you're feeling sooo tired. Exercise will give you more energy and a sense that you're in control of your health in pregnancy.

Well your going to gain weight and be tired no matter what you do it is nature your baby needs your body to be healthy in order to survive healthy. so just relax and enjoy being pregnant and you can loose the weight later on. don't over exert your self. they say 25-35 lbs is a normal pregnancy weight but I don't know to many women that only gain that much everybody is different just eat as healthy as you can and take a walk each day it will make you feel better about yourself as well as keep you as fit as you need to be while being pregnant good luck to you

I have been fit for one pregnancy and unfit for another, I found the complications where a longer harder delivery and longer recovery time. Even if you just go for a 20 minute walk every day, will be beneficial.

It's harder to lose the weight afterwards. I also heard that excercising makes the delivery a bit easier.
