Find All the numbers such that the sum of
twice the number and 18 is greater than
or equal to five times the number

this is an inequality type question.
2x+18>=5x
-2x -2x
----------------
18>=3x now divide each side by 3
6>=x

so it is true for all numbers less than or equal than 6

"sum of twice the number and 18" = 2N + 18
N is the "number"
"five times the number" = 5N

2N + 18 < OR = 5N
18 < OR = 5N-2N
18 < OR = 3N
18/3 < OR = 3N/3
6 < OR = N
rewriting this we have...
N > OR = 6
So your answer is all the numbers greater than 6 including 6.

Subtract 2x from both sides to get
18 is greater than or equal to 3x
Divide each side by 3 to get
6 is greater than or equal to x
So x would have to be the numbers equal to or less than 6.
