I agree. So many women out there want to get paid the same as men and want all the same businesslike respect but want the doors opened for them and their meals paid. Choose one ladies!!!

That's a really good question. I believe women deserve both. True equality should refer to women being treated equally before the law, as in being offered the same job opportunities, the same wages, etc. As far as etiquette goes, I believe that women do need more appreciation and should be given special treatment by men once in a while, but it should not be immediately expected (we know we need to stand on our own two feet, too). Who really knows how "special treatment" really started anyway? It seems to make sense, though, since women practically give life (scientifically speaking (this is not a diss to Christians—I am one too—so don't get offended!))

I have two kids and get paid the same as my male counterparts as well. I get free dependent insurance though, so maybe that's special treatment??? I'm unsure what you're upset about. I have taken 1.5 in the last year. I think you need to meditate. ;)

I'm a woman, and I believe in true equality. Of course there are differences between male and female, but beyond the physical aspects of it, we shouldn't be treated different. Right is right, and wrong is wrong no matter who you are. We should all have the same rights, opportunities and consequences.

Let's ask this... Are YOU a woman? Because if so, you are having a gender- identity crisis and need to see a psychiatrist ASAP! And , no I don't believe there will ever be true equality. We're just not made to be equal, sorry, princess.

gosh I thought you were gonna do that,
not give enough details.
Are you talking about marriage, general life, race, religions?
huh?
well anyway, I personally dont believe true equality can be achieved, but I do believe that every reasonable measure should be used to get close because it benefits everyone. Esp. people who defy normal gender practices /beliefs.
I cant elaborate, can you add details?

Do your 'male counterparts' make as little sense as you do?! Then it's equal treatment indeed!

Women should have equal rights with men in terms of employment, political and educational opportunites. This is already provided for in most constitutions of countries.

Of course we don't want equal rights! All we want is the good stuff that men experience. We want the extra money that men want but we don't want to wait to get in a life raft(women and children first).
