Not if you find the right one - I love demi bras, slightly lined sometimes - ones that are pretty sheer - either totally sheer, microfiber, lace or silk.
Calvin Klein makes the most comfortable bras - really and I also love Victoria Secret Bras. You may want to try a t-shirt bra - gap.com sells them and most places do.
Basic cotton bras can also be really cute and comfortable and are sold in all of the same styles - demi, push-up, t-shirt, etc. It may be that you are wearing the wrong size - see if you can have a fitting done at Victorias Secret to rule that out and then talk to them about the exact causes of any discomfort that you are having. The extra money when it comes to bras really is worth it - they are so much more comfortable and last much longer too~

When you first develop breasts, bras are the number one change from coming from a girl to a women...other than your period, but lets not get into that.
There are underwire, no wire, and those slip on ones...sorry I don't know what they are called.
If you don't like the wire because it bothers you (it's totally fine!), try the no wire. It has no wire, and you might like it. If you don't like the ones that you have to clip in the back or front, you can buy the slip on ones.
It's a simple bra and you fill it and it feels like nothing! It's comfortable too. I wear one a night because I cannot wear nothing with a t-shirt..omg
good luck too. Any questions, email me @
shewolf2899@yahoo.com
I know a lot of this stuff too, so if any questions. you can ask me free ones...without giving up 5 points.

I am a 38 DD, so wearing a bra is pretty imperitave for me, However it means serious pain in my shoulders and lower back . It is nicer to just wear a tank top or a night bra all the time.
But yes, they are uncomfortable I agree.

I am a 36 C and always wear a bra in public. However, my husband loves it when I go braless around the house, esp. in a t-shirt. I am still very firm and can go either way. However, if you are very large breasted you do need to wear one. Have you ever seen a woman with very large breasts after childbirth or when she's older? They can get pretty ugly, purple veins, etc. So wear that bra and keep them firm as long as possible.

This reminds me of a story. An old girlfriend of mine used to wear bras with the clasp on the back, which I would playfully undo whenever I felt in the mood. But she played a joke on me one day when I reached for the clasp and it wasn't there! It was on the front! Argh! Foiled again.
Anyway, you might should switch brands. Some bra manufacturers use a kind of cloth that doesn't have thumbtacks in the weave. If you need something even more comfortable, try to find a nice cashmere bra.

Definitely wearing one. You need to try several different brands, styles and materials to find one that suits you. It's hard to choose from the thousands out there, but a good bra will make you look good and offer you support where you need it, as well as being comfortable.

being large breasted, I hate wearing bras cause they dig in when you wear them all day. But I hate when I take my bra off cause all the support from the bra is gone and then they just flop. I can't stand that either.

I prefer not to wear one when I'm at home. They can get a little uncomfortable sometimes.

I used to feel this way when i was an "a"cup, but i still wore them, I am glad of that because now I am 36d and still perky after 3 kids. Keep a bra on, it keeps them from sagging later!
