I know he has won a GLADD award, but that doesn't mean he himself is gay. I just saw him listed on a list of "openly" gay celebrities and I was like hmmm... is this true? It's really stumped me!

I have heard that he is gay, but he clearly doesnt promote himself on CNN as "gay reporter" Anderson Cooper.

I think it's pretty accepted here in NY that he is openly gay... but for the sake of CNN... who has a more global audience and needs to appeal to mainstream middle America and not just NYC, he doesn't talk openly about his sexuality. He doesn't deny being homosexual, just doesn't answer questions about his sexuality anymore.
