I think that it's the result of evolution. Our closest relatives (species wise) - the chimpanzees - are the same way. Over the millions of years of evolution and especially the last 50,000, being somewhat violent and being good at it increased a male's position in the dominance hierarchy and therefore his mating opportunities.
Also, the success at fighting off other tribes, aggressors improved the probability of survival of ones offspring. Also, I hate to say it, but being more than just defensive has also paid off in evolutionary terms. Consider Genghis Khan, who was very violent and killed almost all of the men among any group he conquered in battle, so he and his men could mate with all of the women. Recent genetic studies give strong evidence that he has an enormous number of descendants all over Asia.
The problem is that modern civilized life isn't compatible with such violence, especially this aggressive kind. If we (as a species) don't find some way to deal with this, it may result in the extinction of the human race.

Everyone is more violent now days because>.. And my opiion only . it is because the government took to much control away from the parents and don't let them correct them anymore.. the schools try but they aren't allowed to do to much either.. so the kids now days are growing up with out any disapline.. and the government don't want to deal with what they have done to cause this.. if they would have minded there own business and just taken care of there own kids and let everyone else take care of there i think there would be alot less violence now days..

People who raised dogs for dog fighting killed the non-aggressive pups of every litter for over 200 years. The end result was two or three extremely dangerous breeds that tended to attack even their owners.
Human beings started out as territorial and aggressive. Those with tendencies toward violence tended to survive more often than those who were peaceful, passive, vegetarian types -- a very similar situation to the dog breeds I mentioned.
We are the end result of thousands of years of violence toward our own kind and everything else. It only makes sense that it shows in the way we deal with one another individually and the way each country deals with other countries.

as we are decedent from apes or so Charles Darwin believes we were damaged down into 4 degrees of decendent. a million. Afarensis (3.5 million Years BP) 2. Homo Habilis (2 million years in the past BP) 3. Homo Erecutus (a million.5 million yeasr BP) 4. Homo sapiens (0.5 million years BP) after this we ultimately expanded further time. I beleive strongly in God and that he does exsist because of particular circumstances ive been in which have proved that he has helped me out and his means does exsist. i in my opinion , dont comprehend what to beleive because we've evolution tale vs introduction tale im an outstanding beeliver of historic historic previous data and also catholic teachings. so im no longer particular yet both way you seem at it , we are portrayed as a violent species or make judgements basically in accordance with our personal recommendations and needs. introduction tale (also depending round jesus christ himself) = seem on the way the jews dealt with jesus , it replaced into terrible awesome stuff , if youve ever been knowledgeable or watched the flicks countless the failings they did to jesus were excrutiating , yet maximum the commonest recelection is the nailing of the flow God did see this and definite he knew why , so i imagine he's conscious us more advantageous than we do . Evolution = the way that the ape decdents lived were disgusting if no nutrition replaced into avaiblabe they could devour one yet another , in part by using the indisputable fact that they had no intellegence yet also because properly , thats how we were made Tbh i imagine that GOd created the international , and then began with the introduction of Ape , then we in basic terms advanced so i positioned both mutually desire THIS HELPED Evolution

because many humans are greedy. they want something, and will kill to take it. and it only takes a few with that mentality to ruin things for the rest. i don't believe we must fight for survival, the earth has enough resources for everyone if it were used fairly. what did ghandi say? the earth can provide for all need, but not all greed?

Part of our nature, I suppose. We are merely over-evolved animals and many of our primitive tendencies are still there. But at least you (and others, I'm sure) are asking "why?" It's a small step to truly becoming more than we are.

When land, food and other resources are scarce, they must be fought for.
The losers of these fights die.
The winners are usually the most violent and aggressive.
They survive to pass on these traits to their offspring.
