it's almost the same thing as in the beginning of the show, the theme song...Does stewie say EFFIN cry or laugh and cry. I'll used the closed caption on it before and it's said both so I don't know what it is. It's not supposed to make sense. It's family guy. I've been watching it for years.

Not the parents. I know only Brian for sure understand him but yeah that makes sense, a talking dog and a talking baby.....

No they dont understand him, they think he is making baby noises. The only person that understands him is the dog, Brian.

maybe it's one of those things the writers want to leave up to your imagination... because nowhere in any of the seasons does it state for sure who can hear him.
i have always been under the impression that some strangers can hear him, brian, but not peter and lois.

yes, the mother thinks the stuff he says is funny. The talking dog would concern me more.
