The migraine meds I've bought are mostly just caffeine & aspirin. I'm not telling you to have caffeine & aspirin, just telling you what's in the meds I've bought.
Best thing to do when you don't have meds is to lie still in a dark quiet room & try to clear your mind.
For me, and I know this is gross, once I throw up I always feel better. Like instant relief from the migraine.

Moisten a hand towel and warm it in the microwave. Roll it into a tube shape before you put it in to warm, and then place it on the back of your neck when it is ready. If you have some Excedrin Migraine, these work exceptionally well. If not, take a full dose of whatever painkiller you have available and lie down in a darkened room with your eyes closed in the dark and this will help the headache to lessen and then go away.I have also put a wrung out cold face cloth over my eyes and forehead while lying down quietly.I have suffered with migraines all of my life and if I feel one coming on, I try to get two of the Excedrin Migraine into my system as quickly as possible before I end up in excruciating pain to the point of throwing up. Sorry to be so graphic, but that is one of the warning signs of the migraine onset, a feeling of nausea. A good diet and not letting yourself get dehydrated really helps also, along with daily exercise. Hope this helps. Have a good night!

I used to suffer from migraines when I became pregnant. I'm talking vomitting and pain. Since I couldn't take any medication, my doctor told me to take a cool shower. He said the cool water relaxes the endorphines in the brain which relaxes the nerves and blood vessels that are pounding and causing the headache. I tried it, and sure enough it really worked. What a relief it was for me.

You had migraine....so do I. But please refrain from taking any meds: capsules, tablets or in liquid form. Just take a hot and cold showers and rest. Drink at least 8 glasses of water. Better if you can resist the smell, apply white flower on the area of the head where the pain is and massage...its a relief. You may take mefenamic acid but not acetaminophen or paracetamol.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

I use two things: 1. progesterone cream (puritanspride.com has a good one); 2. ice pack. I wrap it in a towel to soften the effect.
