My friend is down on her luck and wants to sell an item on ebay. it is a Shanahan jersey signed by McCarty. She put her price at 1000.00 which I thought was way too high but she believes it to be what its worth. I want opinions on what you think would be fair to put as a starting price on ebay. Please be fair and honest. Thanks!

Honestly, I woudn't pay any more than 50$ unless it was sighnd by 1 of their top five best players ever...ie Yzerman, Lidstrom, or some one like that. This however is a result of biasem, as I don't much care for the wings.

However, if I was a wings fan I'd want to spend my good money on a jersey sighnd by the player who's number happens to be on the back. So I'd say 100$ to start out with.

Well.. since the Hockeytown store sells authentic, game worn, and signed Jerseys with a letter of authenticty for alot less.. several hundred less.. I'd say 1000 is WAAAAYYYY to high to start a bidding on EBAY.. I'd start it at 250 and see what happens..

I would start it at $100..

But since a player signed a different player's jersey, it is way less appealing to me as a collector. It will more than likely not sell for anymore than $200 and even that is a stretch.

Most items that start at 1 penny make more than those that start at any other price.

I would say around $100.00 maybe. Since it is not signed by the 'right' player.

thats too much... i would start MUCH lower... maybe 250 and see if people will bid it up higher.
