If you wear brand name clothes, tell me, why do you?
Besides the fact that you "like their clothes." Tell me why you wear them.
Because "you liking the clothes," is not the main reason.
If you don't wear name brand clothes, why do you think people

Ahhh. STFU! Brand name clothes does NOT make you popular. I DO wear brand name clothes sometimes, but not often. Ahh, this is p issing me off.

I wear brand name clothes because it is my opinion that brand name clothes are of a higher quality. For instance I spent quite a bit of money on a sweater set 5 years ago and (i don't dry clean it) it is still in good shape. also, I think brand name clothes have better cuts and fit my body better.
I shop at big box stores for trendy stuff that I will just wear a few times, but for classics I opt to spend a bit more and have the opportunity to wear it alot. Now if I only wore trendy stuff then heck no I wouldn't care about labels because next season I would go buy all new stuff. I think it really depends on how long I anticipate keeping something and how many times I think I can wear something.
Also, I always wear namebrand shoes. Sometimes I may spend a bit less on a pair of going out heels, but shoes really can look cheap if you don't spend enough.
In the end wear what you want and don't go into debt trying to dress like the girls on TV or some girl you may know who has the worst credit in the world because she can't pay all her bills.

Methinks one reason people buy it cuz of the label and the belief that the material and overall make (like the seams won't fall apart in 2 weeks) is better. Another reason is probably image (such as giving the "illusion" that they're not Wal-Mart or dollar store shoppers) and to fit in with trends and crap.
I don't really wear brand new clothes (and if I do, it's cuz they were probably on sale at the time of purchase :P). I've been wearing some of the same non-brand name clothes for years and they've yet to tear or rip or come apart.

Definitely check out Target, Forever 21, H&M, and other discount stores for "trendy" items. Hit jcrew, gap, and other "named" stores for basics that are classic and will never go out of style. Being a true fashionista means knowing how to mix the cheaper lines with the more expensive stuff and making it your own. There was just an article about that in the November issue of Vogue. Forget the Hollister.. it is cheap junk that tears easily and doesn't last. Totally over priced. The "rule" is to save your money when it comes to trendy items, but to spend the money on classic items that you can wear for years. I mix $15 items from H&M with designer brands and I get a lot of compliments on the cheaper H&M items. Just be a smart shopper. You can wear the current styles without being "branded".

I do wear brand name clothing. To be quite honest, it's all status of who wears what and what people have. That is not the main reason though! I also have nice things because I find them more comfortable and they last longer! The fabrics seem to be better as well!

I wear brand named clothes because they make me feel confident. I use to be one of those girls who had clothes that was never on style, and now I'm the most popular girl in , because of the brand named clothes.

Me, I actually go for comfort, style and quality fabrics. It doesn't matter what brand it is. I like some branded clotehes because they were comfy and the designs were unique. I don't know... some branded clothes just look ordinary to me, dunno why people go crazy over them. Some people prefer branded clothes maybe because of their job, or if they really have the money. Some also prefer comfort and style but they just are filthy rich ;)

Because the fabric is of better quality and the clothes stay in better shape, longer.
I don't limit myself to name brand clothes though. I'm not a label whore or anything like that.

well my opinion is that they just want to prove that some people arent tight with their money or if they have alot of money but the people who dont wear name brand clothes they are just kool with what they have already

i work where brand name clothes are and my thought is if they pay alot they feel they look good plus their somebody we all have our faults its like living in a big house when a big house is not needed

I wear brand name clothes just to look cool and it looks cute and trendy........Ima in love with the mall..........Whenever i go i have to get sumthing
