I would like people, who actually know what they are talking about, to compare Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito for me please. As detailed as you possibly can. Thank you very much!

Uhh yeah to the fourth person who commented...im pretty sure its called a comparison for that exact reason. there was something different about them...you dooknob...

First off, Bobby Orr is a defenceman, and Phil Esposito was a forward. Both were great players who changed the game. Bobby was the first rushing defenceman, the first to win the scoring title, and set numerous other records. Phil Esposito was what used to be called a "Garbage Man " cause he used to just park his large frame in front of the net and pick up rebounds. He also had speed, and finesse, which is why before a man named Gretzky came along, Phil was the only player to score 70 + goals in a season. Phil also was the leader of Team Canada in 72, which is still possibly Canada's greatest ever hockey moment. He also scored twice against his younger brother in his first ever pro game. Phil and Bobby played together on Boston for a number of years and complimented each other so well that they won a couple of Stanley Cups together.

How can you compare them when they played two different positions? Borry Orr was a defenceman and Phil Esposito was a center. They were both excellent at their positions. But you can't compare a defenceman to a center--one's job is to stop people from scoring, the other one's job was to score.

well bobby orr was a great defensemen for the boston fruins and phil esposito was also a fantastic defence men so they are both in th top ten greatest hockey player ever they are very simulair
