The Cincinnati Reds are the oldest and first professional baseball team beginning play in 1869.

The oldest franchise is the Atlanta Braves. They were founded as the Boston Red Stockings in 1871. The oldest team still in its original city is the Cubs, who started life as the Chicago White Stockings in 1874.

The Tigers!

I'm a Twins fan, but I'd be happy to see an AL Central team win the Series and next year we can make it three teams in three years!

(My hubby thinks the oldest team is the Cardinals)
