if he wants to prodece movies this is my suggestion(i am also interested in film, writting and directing)

1idiots guide to independant film making
2 robert rodriguez's 10 minute flick school.
3 just go out talk to paeople, look for anyone wanting to do a film, and offer to help any way you can, i/e college campus.

these are cheap and effective ways.

skip film school, its a waste of maoney, and they waste your time tryiong to teach you how to be creative, wich is somthing you cant teach.

If he seriously wants to be a producer, the best thing he could do is go to a college with a good business school and a reputable film program (Texas, USC, Northwestern, Boston U.). Major in business, minor in film, and try to make as many connections as possible in both realms. There aren't any quick fixes or overnight formulas. Tell him to put in the work if he's serious.
