I've literally been writing essays all day, so forgive me for losing my mind. Is the following sentance correct? If not please correct it.
"Given the major developments Nigeria has seen over the past decade such as, near elimination of debt, high profit from exporting the countrys large amount of oil, and support from other countries in raising its standards of living, it is easy to see that Nigeria will become an increasingly more modern nation in the next thirty years."

"Given the major developments that Nigeria has seen over the past decade, such as near-elimination of debt, high profit from exporting the country's large amount of oil, and support from other countries in raising its' standard of living, it is easy to see that Nigeria will become an increasingly modern nation in the next thirty years."

(Read very carefully, not just for plurals and punctuation shifts and changes, but for removal of a redundant word, etc.)

Separate the past perfect word. Other than that- it's excellent. if your teacher gives you hard time on this, then my 25 years of English changed! It should read like this:

" Given the major developments Nigeria has seen over the past decade, such as the near elimination of debt, high profit from exporting the country's large amount of oil, and support from other countries in raising its standards of living, it is easy to see that Nigeria will become an increasingly more modern nation in the next thirty years."

For the most part it's right just a correction:

Given the major developments Nigeria has seen over the past decade such as, near elimination of debt, high profit from exporting the country's large amount of oil, and support from other countries in raising it's standard of living, it is easy to see that Nigeria will become an increasingly more modern nation in the next thirty years.

Just some possession corrections!

It would be better if you broke it into 2 sentences:
"Nigeria has seen major developments over the past decade including blah blah blah.
Given these factors it is easy to see that nigeria will become blah blah blah."
