Jeep Bolt Pattern

The Ford and Jeep rims did have the same bolt pattern back then. I have a friend who was a Jeep lover, and he gave me several rims for my 1988 Ford truck, and they fit.
That was back then! I do not know if the late model wheels will fit either make, now. Best bet is to try one on your truck, before you buy them. Or, check at an Auto Zone, or Pep boys stores. they should be able to tell you!

But-and heres a big BUT!! If your Jeep is a CJ5 model type, it would be better if you didn't put those big tires and wheels on yer Jeep!! They will make it very dangerous to drive on the roads!
Yes, the modern Jeeps will handle the bigger tires, but back in 1988, the factory vigorously said not to use those wheels and tires! They made the Jeeps very unstable. Our Fire company had to rescue several people from wrecks of Jeeps, caused by the extra large wheels and tires!
but, if all else fails to prewarn you, i guess you will think i'm a "kill-joy", and you'll have to get experience by doing it anyway!

Ford Bolt Pattern

I bought a set of used jeep wheels and tires, they had the right bolt pattern, but when I tried them on, the rears fit but not the fronts. it seems they would not clear the brake calipers. So I had to switch the tires to my Ford rims, which were better looking anyway :)

Not sure of the year for the Jeep rims, probably 80's and my Ford is a 97 Explorer.

NO, to check bolt pattern measure from out side of one bolt , straight across to center of other that will give you the bolt pattern in inches. ford is 4and 3quarter 5 lug.

Even if they did, you have to be careful with the offset.
If one is set for a 1" offset and the other 2", even if you could bolt them on, they could either rub; or make your ride/handling be WAY off.
It could also affect suspension and sterering system wear.
Get the correct rims, even if it costsa little more.
The money (and maybe the life) you save will be your own!

Any good salvage yard should be able to give a compatiblity check. They have books that show all the crossovers from car to car and year to year.

Good luck
