Unfortunately, there is no time scale for that. I lost my mucus plug and did not give birth until a month later. So, it could be a day a week or even a month. I know how ready you are and not knowing can be frustrating but keep in mind that the slower your body builds up to the pending birth the easier it is on your body. Fast delivers are more painful and much harder on you. Congratulations the arrival of you baby has started. Get rest, pamper yourself and good luck.

I am 35 weeks pregnant and I thought that once you loose your plug they need to monitor you for infection. I don't know what I was thinking I guess by reading all the other ladies answer and seeing how relax it all is I guess you have nothing to worry about. I say forget the ER and at least let your doctor know in the morning whats up with you. I sure am going to ask my doctor about it at my next appointment so that I know for sure great question ! I am a first time mom and a little paranoid lol good luck to you I do know that your baby could come anytime now.

With first one it was 2 weeks after I lost my plug that I went into labor, 2nd was about 2 days or so. Third when I went in labor and 4th was about a week before so it really just depends.
Good luck

I lost mine and still went 2 more weeks. The morning I went into labor I started to bleed a little and then my water broke at home. I wasn't contracting at all (at least not that I could feel) until after I had gotten to the hospital. Everyone is different.

Just to let you know that a mucus plug CAN grow back. It is IMPOSSIBLE to tell when a baby will come. With my first 3 babies, I lost my mucus plug only after going into labor. It is different for every woman.

with my first child i lost my plug about a week before i had him
with my second, i lost it a couple of days before
with my 3 i hadnt lost it yet when i went into labor, at least not that i noticed
sadly its hard to tell for sure, but it does mean you are closer to giving birth. take this time to get plenty of rest and enjoy every minute of peace and quiet you can!!!!!!!!!!
