i support gay marriages all the way. i feel that homosexuals are humans just like us and they deserve their right to be married to their partners.

people are insecure, uneducated, and too involved in other peoples lives, due to the lack of happiness and contentment in their own...so instead of educating themselves or finding what makes them really happy...they project hate and ignorace on innocent people that just want to be treated just like everybody else.

I have no problem with Gay Unions or Civil Ceremonies but am opposed to the word marriage being used for these rites. Canada has now passed it's own version of gay cermonies and many people from around the world have come to our country to celebrate their union.
Guess I'm still a bit old school and believe a marriage is between the sexes.

No matter what some of these other people have said it is not closed minded to oppose gay marriage. Gay marriage is unnatural. People of the same sex cannot physically produce children and that is what makes the world go round. Honestly they can't even have sex naturally. They have to find all sorts of ways to make their sex life seem somewhat normal. If it's supposed to be called an alternate life style, then keep it alternately unmarried.

Does anyone really understand why the opposition? It's not that damn simple! If gay marriage is allowed, then why cant daughters marry mothers, aunts marrying grammas, etc.
Humans marrying their pets? What?? Doesnt everyone deserve happiness??? Doesnt everyone have the right to take advantage of the 'system' of marriage? Suppose, I have insurance and I want to take care of anyone...a woman...anyone...need insurance for them....I want an extra write off...I want to take off maternity leave for my 'loved one' ..could be a cousin who doesnt have insurance but we got married claiming that we're gay lovers and this way our medical bills are all taken care of.
Creditors...there's another area....Most creditors feel that married couples are more responsible people...how will they determine this anymore if anyone can marry? No recourse. People get more respect from their employers if theyre married and so on...
Who's to say what will become of the institution of marriage and it's benefits if same sexes can marry....??? I might marry my mom! Take care of her in old age with my insurance and then I can collect her social security, yada yada. It's just got too many problems and opens doors for more problems. Sheesh people. :(

I think it's just the latest play by homosexuals to bring attention to themselves. Gays have been around forever and marriage has been around forever. Explain to me why now, all of a sudden, gays should be able to have the same title that men and women have had for millenium?

Marriage should be between a man and woman only. If homosexuals want to be united, then a civil ceremony should be allowed, but not a union blessed by God. God loves everyone, but he meant marriage to be between a man and a woman only. I have lesbian friends and I love them dearly, but they shouldn't be allowed to be joined in a union by clergy. I am not ignorant, stupid, uneducated, or prejudice at all, but the bible will NEVER be wrong.

that is ur right, but for the rest of us we could care less about homosexual's and what they do. but the news media and politicians like john kerry what to keep shoving it in the faces of the U.S. people about gay rights, gay marriages, etc... so how about if the gay community tries this so your thing and quit trying to make the rest of the American population care cuz we don't, we are just tired of seeing/hearing about it.

I think the only reason they want to get married is so they can have their spouse covered on their health care coverage.
I think it is so strange that homosexuals want to marry, yet you can't drag a man and woman to the courthouse even if they have 3 kids!
