*in a scientific voice* well, the air speed velocity of a rain drop is in direct proportion to the gravitational pull of the earth and will indeed fall to the ground, and if it falls in your eye, there is a definate possiblity that it might turn red, but only a possiblity. the probobility of it turning your eye red is also dependent on phyical self-restraint on your part about NOT rubbing the affected eye. yet, there is still the fact that it is a very small chance that a rain drop will fall in your eye.

Well, you're never going to stop the rain by complaining.

If you listen closely, the song answers it for you: "but that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red..." however, it' also doesn't mean that they WON'T be turning red either. I think, in summary that the raindrops falling on your head is not necessarily indicative of future red-eyes.
