Why are they still so reluctant to let go of the sexual stero-typification?

Its normal to reject everything your parents stand for and respect. Most kids do that at some point.

Some of the sexual stereotypes are learned, and those are changing slowly. Others are based on innate sexual differences and are not likely to change much, at least not soon.

There are many people who believe in God. Even young people. I wouldn't say that it's not believing in God more like not following the bible. Why should they when some of these parents don't practices what they preach? Now I'm guessing were talking about Christianity so excuse me if I'm wrong on this. I have known accepting, loving, helpful Christians. I've also known Christians who will gladly spout out their beliefs but don't follow them their self. Christian when convenient if you will.
You might consider me “modern”, I'm 23, and I don't deny God nor do I deny any belief nor do I follow any set religious path, I'm agnostic. Why? Because I refuse to be someone who is Christian when convenient. I think those who do turn away from God may feel the same. That and they get tired of people who go around saying they are going to hell. I at one time thought Christianity was a great thing. Then I moved to the bible belt and it sickens me to see how some of these “Christians” truly act. By no means am I saying God or Christianity is wrong. Only that a lot of these Christians tend to use the bible to shut others down and to make their wrong acceptable. Is it any wonder it would seem so unappealing to them?

That is so sad . I wish they grew up the way that we were when we were children. We were brought up to attend church when ever it was there for us and to obey the rules of our Father above. Now they might go to church on Sunday and go for drinks afterword. That is not what it is all about. I am sure the Lord didn't give his sermons and go out and live like the devil the rest of the week. God Bless you for caring. I feel the same about the situation. I hope we can set a good example for others. God Be with you always.I think we just need to pray for them.
