The NCAA shouldn't take it away. Put it on Cokers shoulders to decide. Then we will see if he's a real man or not. When South Carolina/Klempsun got into their huge brawl in Lou Holtz last year, both Tommy Bowden and Holtz refused to allow their teams to go to a bowl that season. Coker should step up and do the same.
I also don't buy the whole suggestion that they should never play eachother again. Should we stop Florida/Florida State from playing eachother in the future? NO.

here is a better question WIll they even be bowl eligible. They may get beat by duke. Being a former coach your players have a free will. No coach can force a player to do anything or not do anything. Suspend the player's for the remainder of they year if they mess up again they should be done. Some of those players may be just months from graduating. Everyone make mistakes give them a second chance. A lot of those kids have a chance not to be thugs after graduation.

No, they shouldn't. A brawl is a brawl. In the majors, when there is a brawl, there are only suspensions. I think that Miami and FIU should never be scheduled to play each other again.

yes, and forfeit the remainder of the season, and be stripped of 20 scholarships next year, 15 the next, then 10, then 5. they should face a tougher punishment than SMU did. This is not an isolated event this team has been full of thugs since the mid eighties and it is time for the NCAA to start cleaning programs such as this one that cares nothing about the players attitude, scholastic abilities or criminal record

I think Miami should be banned from the money like TV and radio money. There should also be a TV/radio ban on their home games. The only money they should be allowed to get is half the attendance ticket money on home games. They would go from a multimillion dollar franchise to only picking up a few thousand dollars a season and turning them from a legend to an unknown (because they would not be able to recruit the talent). The school has had multiple chances and they still can't get their act together. The huge monetary and fame loss will get to them.

I think the NCAA should think long and hard about it. Miami has a history of junk like this, so maybe losing bowl eligibility would teach them a valuable lesson.

No, mostly because the players that were in the wrong got/are getting what they deserve. why punish the whole team when it wasnt the whole team that started the fight... if thats the case then any team that gets into a scuffle, or any team with cocky players should as well...
