This is a trick from an old bartender, sprinkle a little salt on your coaster before you place your drink on it. The coaster will no longer stick to your glass then.

Note to remember though, if your coaster is a napkin or paper towel, even though it won't stick to the glass, the paper will still get soaked from condensation so you may need to keep repeating the salt trick with fresh napkins.

Try it, it hasn't failed me yet.

SANDSTONE. Coasters made of sandstone absorb the condensation that drips off your glass onto the furniture. Also, they don't stick to the bottom of the glass and they are really classy and long-wearing.
Buy at Target - but they are about half the price or more through Amazon.

"Absorbs drips from your beverages without leaking onto furniture; Coaster will not stick to bottom of your glass, bottle etc when you pick up your drink"

Water causes surface tention to do this. Try using a folded paper towel on top of the coaster to help.
