Eminem almost seems to get down-graded upon for those stupid, faddy, sucky, repetitive songs that even HE is said not to like. Make any sense to you?

One of the smartest rappers out there, and I'm not a big rap fan. He has more to say than most (The Beastie Boys are another very intelligent rap act - for those who are paying attention. Probably the "Beatles" of rap.). Those who down-grade smart or thought-provoking rap usually have much less talent (and that's a HUGE pool,..just listen to the piles of ugly, dumb rap...steaming piles!) or are afraid they sound silly by comparison. Run-DMC, Cypress Hill, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z,...all good, in my humble opinion. So many others are a nonsensical waste of recording technology, dragging good rap and rappers down into unfortunate stereotypes.

Eminem's first singles ( my name is, real slim shady, without me, and whatever from encore) are all more commerical songs just so it appeals to a wider audience than the rest of his cd. Eminem has said so himself that he knows which song will be a hit and his first single because they have that cheesy feel he had when he originally put out my name is ( which he wasnt sure to release that song or not at the time he first dropped the slim shady lp). I personally think his best songs are from his first cd, role model, as te world turns, i just dont give a F*ck, and guilty conscious are all classic eminem songs. I just hope his new mixtape the re-up gets back to the slim shady side of him rather than marshal mathers
