One of my guy friend's birthday is coming up, and is it okay to get him a birthday gift even though I've only gotten to know him well in the past three weeks or so?
I don't want to lead him on to think I have feelings for him (romantically) but we have gotten to know each other quite well.
If yes, what is an acceptable gift?

Well not sure of your age group but tickets to a movie..(for him and a friend of his choice) would be nice and unpretentious. Cologne is a bit personal, a card is so well Blaise...perhaps a gift certificate to a music store or send him a ringtone to his cell phone...be original and even if you don't want to put out any unwanted signals you will be have shown that your are a person of great depth and integrity. I think your sweet for remembering his birthday. A friend is really hard to come by male or female...don't let too much get in the way of making one.

I like a women that buys me clothes, a shirt, or something like that, it says to me she cares about how I look and also says that she took the time to pick something out that I might like, and what I love most is wearing it when I'm with her, its alot better than a chessy gift, cologne is nice too, and all men love the shoes or sneakers, there is nothing like being around your boys and bragging that my girl got me these kicks, cause most of them dont have a girl that would something like that

If u knew him that well you wouldn't be asking!
Unless u like him or knew he liked u, u would not be worried about him thinking that.
3 weeks aint all that much time. Don't read into it sooo much... U'll get a headache! If you know him pick something that he likes and run with it...
Personally, 3 weeks... get him a card!

sure, why not you are friends doesnt matter how long you have known eachother, as fatr as a gift maybe a cd of his fav songs, guys are kinda hard to get gifts hmmmm, maybe a really nice t-shirt of his fav. brand or even a little cute b-day card, guys arent like us they are really easy to please when it comes to gifts.
