How can the United Nations be fixed to better deal with issues like Poverty and disease. As well as the Problems in Iran and North Korea because it is obvious that North Korea is not fazed by the economic sanctions already in place.

Get rid of the veto power of the permanent members. Too many times the members: Russia, China, Brittain, France, and the United States, block effective action because they have some minor intrest that would be negatively influenced. Justice is sometimes painful to administer, but with those 5 powers refusing to feel the pain on any issue, Justice is almost non-existant.

They will never be able to deal better with poverty and disease leave that to Bill Gates.
They'll never have enough power to solve problems in Iran and N. Korea so unless the UN becomes the world govt. they won't be able to do much of anything.

Well anything can be corrupted. The U.N. is no exception. but they will give you chances and chances and chances. Basically all bark and no bite. That is why no one is fazed by them. When its time to do something only a couple of the other nations stand behind us.

2. The US does not go with them
We cannot have a one world body do anything productive. There are too many thugs, dictators, and countries like Russia who do not want freedom.

It can't be fixed, it should be disbanded due to its failures. It hasn't succeeded in anything in over 30 years!
