i have 2 read this monologue as a character. I cannot change any of the words, any ideas?

I work in the emergency room. Midnight to eight. The blood and guts shift. We dont deal w/ the tummy ache and band-aid crowd. We cater to the screaming survivors of drunken car crashes who have been cut out of those twisted metal highway sculptures.

Then, there are the drug dealers w/ spurting bullet holesand the night club brawlers w/ stab wounds and ripped-open faces.

Sometimes we are lucky, and these people can experience another sunrise, but all too often, it's their last night on earth.

(kinda freaky i kno, but i need a character. i dont wanna b just a doctor, and i have 2 b a character that has "high stakes" any ideas?)

Maybe someone who is new at it...like just started the job. She can be very stressed or very nervous about the job. Um...that may be very difficult to create. Is it like advanced or beginner? Try that if you can pull it off...but don't try too hard. Sorry, that's the best I can think of right now. If there's time for the question and I think of something else, I'll let you know. Break a leg!

Be a translater. Translating someones last words in the E.R. is the most intense position other than being a surgeon. Having a story of relaying a final goodbye or a confession, or even a secret that someone wants to tell before death in search of a clean soul. This sometimes happens as soon as they get to the hospital.

how about a nurse with a strong southern accent, with personal problems of her own?
