How about "Mind Hunter," with LL Cool J and other cast? A on your edge suspense thriller involving FBI agents in training on a remote island. Each is being killed off one by one by a serial killer, to the point where they start accusing each other. The effects are so real that you will feel like it was happening right in your living room. Very good 5-Star movie. Very Isolated. Enjoy!!

The Island 2005

I definitely enjoyed it. Although trailers and plot summaries gave away a lot of the story, I was still surprised by its intensity. An early scene involving two of the lottery winners continues to haunt me, as does a later discussion of what it means to be branded "less than human". The action sequences had me gripping the arms of my chair. I thought Jordan and Lincoln's innocence was very well-done and appropriate for the life they had led. Parts of "The Island" reminded me of "Brave New World", other parts were similar to "Logan's Run" and I was even reminded in a small way of "The Matrix" - but none of the similarities seemed like cheap imitations, more like an expansion of an older theme. Overall it was a very good movie.

it is a long one but wroth the watch!!!

Ewan McGregor
Scarlett Johansson
play in it.

Identity -- Strangers from all different walks of life: a limo driver escorting a movie star, parents with a young son, a cop transporting a convict, a prostitute, a young couple, and a motel manager are caught up in a nasty rainstorm, stuck at a motel in desolate Nevada. Soon they realize they may be at the motel for another reason when one by one, people start getting killed off. As tensions flare and fingers are pointed, they have to get to the bottom of why they're there. Meanwhile in an undisclosed location, a psychiatrist is trying to prove the innocence of a man accused of murder in an eleventh hour trial. How these two through-lines are related can only be found in Identity.

Memento -- Leonard is an insurance investigator whose memory has been damaged following a head injury he sustained after intervening on his wife's murder. His quality of life has been severely hampered after this event, and he can now only live a comprehendable life by tattooing notes on himself and taking pictures of things with a Polaroid camera. The movie is told in forward flashes of events that are to come that compensate for his unreliable memory, during which he has liaisons with various complex characters. Leonard badly wants revenge for his wife's murder, but, as numerous characters explain, there may be little point if he won't remember it in order to provide closure for him. The movie veers between these future occurrences and a telephone conversation Leonard is having in his motel room in which he compares his current state to that of a client whose claim he once dealt with.

Have you seen the 'Game' with Michael Douglas? How about the movie 'Lucky Slevin' that is a good one too. For books, you need to try something by either Stuart Woods or J.A.Jance or James Doss, John Dunning or Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.
