I think this fine occassion calls for my t-shirt with a tuxedo printed on the front. I bought it at a kiosk in the mall back in '88. My wife told me that this would be "tacky" and is telling me to at least wear a clean pair of Levis with a real jacket and a tie. This is creating quite a bit o' marital friction. Who's right?

it depends...how close you are to the couple that's getting married. out of respect you should wear a nice suit...but if you're known to everyone that you're a goofy kind of guy then go to with t-shirt with the tux printed on it. but dont wear jeans...that's really disrespectful. try wearing some nice slacks...it'll bring out the whole outfit nicely. i think your wife just doesn't want to be embarrased by you..good luck

You should dress proper for a wedding. A real tux would help. Your wife is right lol

Who's right would be determined by what they are serving at the reception. Is it beef-a-roni or fillet Mignon?
I'll leave it to you to figure out which outfit is appropriate for each.

Wear a pairf of khaki pants and a nice polo shirt (sweater if you live somewhere cold). Clean shoes ,of course. That should please your wife and the bride and groom!

If you wanted to ever get laid again, I would wear what the wife wants you to. Do you need any more incentive than that???

I think both outfits are tacky and you should just stay home.
