Most women are "bisexual with a heterosexual dating preference" so they prefer dating men.
The rest of the women are either bisexual or lesbians so they date other women.
When the media, movies, music videos, promote "woman-dating-woman" then all women will start dating other women.

To reproduce. That's the only thing I can think of. Heh, I personally think guys are hideous compared to women, and I'm so glad I'm a guy so I can date girls and it can be normal. I'd hate having to date a guy if I was a girl.

Because most women (notice I say most) are born being attracted to guys. Some women though (like bi, and lesbians) are attracted to women and date them.
