My child
Are there words
You arrived
and the angels sang
My heart was full
for the first time
In this big world
one thing is clear
being your mother
is why I am here
or
I never knew what love could be
until you came from inside of me
you filled my heart with the greatest joy
no matter if you were girl or boy
you are my child
a love so grand
the days before are only sand
a mother I am
for you my child
with all I am
I will make you smile
for happiness is what I want for you
to know a love so pure and true
that for all your life you will be sure
that you my child are adored
or
Perfection in a moment
my child precious and pure
your innocence and beauty
a love that will endure
through all we face
and all we do
you may always trust
my love for you
Thank you for inspiring me to write and reminding me just how much I love my child. All the best to you.

Here's a poem I wrote for my baby girl. She's 4 now but she will always be my baby.
You opened your eyes and I smiled
You squeezed my hand and I fell
You closed your eyes to sleep
And I could already tell
That everything would be different
Everything would change
Nothing would ever be the same in my life
And only for a minute it seemed strange
That I could possibly love someone
As much as I my heart would allow
That you could fill a part of my soul
That no one else could have until now
For you are the one I’ve been longing for
The one who has filled my dreams
My days of waiting are over
A dream comes true so it seems
I watch your sleep there in my arms
And I vow to keep you safe for always
I promise to watch you close
For the rest of my days
To hold you tight when your heart aches
To wipe your tears when you fall
To stand by you through the years
To watch it all
No one can take you from my heart
Or rip you from my embrace
I will keep you here
Forever in this place
I know the day will come
When I will have to let you go
Give you away to a man
Who will love you so
But even then I will keep you near
Keep you in my heart
I will love you as much
As I do now, as I have from the start

That became captivating. My mom kicked the bucket Oct 20 2006 from lung maximum cancers. I took care of her alongside with my sons and my husband till she took her final breath. thank you for sharing your poem, as Christmas techniques i'm lacking her plenty. i understand i'm no longer on my own, and neither are you. God Bless you.
