No. Your body knows when it is no longer pregnant. You do not necissarly need to go to the doctor after a misscarriage. it is good to go but not neccessary.

To give you the right answer you need to provide more info, if its and early miscarriage normally no treatment is needed. After about 8-10 weeks you should get treatment there is more physical matter at this point and some can get left behind and cause infection. Any 2nd trimester or later loss you must see your doctor. Do not assume because you are bleeding that you are miscarring I know a girl who had bleeding heavier than her normal period for 20 weeks before she lost her twins. Always speak with your doctor. If you dont have insurance call planned parenthood they can help you.

No, I had a miscarriage and your insides open up just as though you delivered a baby. And you bleed a lot, so why would your body still think it was pregnant? And most miscarriages do not get any form of treatment.

You don't have to treat a miscarriage. Normally your body will clean itself out and your cycles will start going back to normal. You'd only need to worry if there was retained tissue and you possibly might need a D&C, but if you stop bleeding, then you should be fine. There isn't much that a doctor can do for you if you are miscarrying.

No. However, your hormone levels may take a few days to balance back to pre-pregnancy stage.

After you miscarry, you should get a sonogram to make sure that there is no tissue remaining and your cervix is closed. If it's not closed, you can risk an infection. If you don't miscarry fully, you have the option of taking the "morning after pill" to induce dilation and labor or you could have a D&C.

Not usually, but you can get a infection if left untreated

your body does not think it is pregnant but you do retain a lot of the hormones...they take time to go away so you may still feel as if you are pregnant even after you miscarry!!

usually no. You flush out just like you gave birth. Although its easier to get an infection without a d&c.
